Conway Lawyer, Abdalla Barqawi, Elected CCLA Trustee
News Item
Conway lawyer Abdalla Barqawi has been elected as a Trustee of the County of Carleton Law Association. He will serve a two-year term.
The CCLA was established in 1888 and is now the second largest law association in Ontario. The CCLA plays a leading role in advocating for its members, providing continuing legal education, and providing guidance to address the ongoing challenges that the legal profession faces.
Abdalla is the second Conway lawyer to become a CCLA trustee. Thomas Conway previously served as a trustee and became the President of the CCLA in 2006, after which he was elected as a bencher and ultimately Treasurer of the Law Society of Ontario.
Congratulations, Abdalla!
